Playground Games Club
Mrs Brown's playground games club is on every Monday lunch break for pupils who would like to take part. We play lots of different games such as obstacle courses, tag, hockey and racket games. We enjoy playing with our playground games equipment and PE equipment from the PE shed. Sometimes Mrs Brown leads the sessions and other times children decide what we will play. It is exciting to learn new games and then we can show other children how to play them. We have also found out how to play different games with the playground markings, which is great! Aaron M recommends it as it is fun to play with lots of different pupils and equipment.

Art, Nature and Gardening
What a busy time of year!! This term we have focusing on attracting wildlife to our school, making helpful garden insects from craft materials and beginning our exciting new gardening project.

Wildlife
This term we helped our school take part in the Big Schools' Birdwatch, organised by the RSPB. To attract different birds to our school grounds we made bird feeders out of apples and old washing liquid balls. Helpful garden insects
We talked about how insects are important in the garden, which insects are helpful and why they would be welcome in our new garden. Using a range of different craft materials we created our own helpful insects: earthworms, butterflies, ladybirds, spiders and bees. Why not see if you can find them in your garden?

Gardening Project
We are very excited about our new allotment that is being constructed in the school grounds very soon! In fact we were so enthusiastic we could not wait to start to grow our own produce and flowers. Already we have pea and tomato plants that are developing well. We plan to start a potato crop shortly. Our sweet pea seeds have not germinated as yet, but watch this space for further news.

Please let our club members know if there is anything you would like to see growing in our new allotment.
