Welcome to the Friends of Newton on Trent section of the school's website. We hope you find the information you want, but if you think we have missed out anything, or you have any comments we'd like to hear from you.

The Friends of Newton on Trent Primary School is an informal group of parents, teachers and guardians who work together with the staff to arrange fundraising activities throughout the school year.

The group voluntarily give their time to help raise funds for 'those nicer things in life' at the school that are not essential, but do help make the day a little brighter for all.

Last year the Friends of Newton on Trent raised money amongst other things for a Christmas Pantomime peformance, to support the swimming lessons and .... We held a hugely successful 'Music Night' attended by people from school and from the village too as well as a 'Race Night' which also helped raise money for the school.

We appreciate that time is precious and therefore recognise that you may not be able to attend meetings, however your support is invaluable both to the group and to the school. During the academic year you may get letters from us from time to time asking for your support in raising funds.

We are always looking for new parents to join and are very grateful for help at events and new ideas for activities. We meet once per term, normally on a Monday during the afternoon.

It would be fantastic if you could pop along to say hello, even if you cannot make the date and think you would like to contribute to the group (great minds and all that!) that would be very much appreciated. You could also leave a message with the school or generally ask around to see who else is going.

The minutes of each meeting are displayed on the large notice board near the pedestrian entrance to the school.
