School Council

The School Council is a group of elected pupils who have been chosen to help the Governors and Leaders of the school improve what we offer for each and every child at Newton on Trent Church of England School. The children spend a full week at the beginning of the academic year campaigning and then the whole school votes for who they feel will represent their voice and views the best from each year group. Below are the children who have been elected this year to represent the pupil voice here at Newton.

I wanted to be a School Councillor because I wanted to help improve the school. I also wanted to help make the school a better place. I love helping people and sorting out problems, looking after people when they are sick or helping when they have no-one to play with.

Year 6 Councillor

I want to make this school the best it can possibly be and also get the points of view from each child and not just from the adults. Also, I like to make people happy and smile so this is the perfect role for me.

Year 5 Councillor

I wanted to be a School Councillor because I wanted to make the school a better place. I also wanted to help people if somebody's sad or lonely. I want to help people if they get a little stuck.

Year Four Councillor

I wanted to be a School Councillor because I think I am the right person to help make the school an even better place. I make a good School Councillor because I am kind, caring and compassionate.

Year Three Councillor

I wanted to be a School Councillor because I want to make the school better and I want to be able to help people when they need it.
