At Newton on Trent C of E Primary School, we understand that the years before children start Reception are crucial to their development. As part of our commitment to serving our community, we want to ensure that we can provide children from three years of age the opportunities that being part of a primary school can offer them. This takes the form of the 'Little Acorns' at Newton, as part of Oak Class, our EYFS unit. The myriad benefits range from easing transition into Reception as children already know the routines, expectations, and wider school community as well as forming friendships with their cohort. They also benefit from a wide range of enjoyment, enrichment and rich experiences built into the provision and curriculum, large natural outdoor spaces, and the high expectations that our tag line 'Aiming High and Enjoying the Journey' embody.
