Remote Learning

Remote learning is the way in which children can continue their learning at home in the event of a school closure. We are committed to offering the best education and opportunities for our children to make progress regardless of the circumstances. As a school, we believe that working remotely should not disadvantage your child academically in any way and they should have access to sequences of meaningful, relevant and challenging work in order for them to achieve. In line with our vision and values, we will offer bespoke support where needed, additional 'live' time for children who need it and interventions will take place where required.

The remote learning will be provided via our remote learning platform Google Classroom. We will also be complementing this with Oxford Owl e-books where children can read age and level appropriate books. There is also a wide selection of phonetically decodable books for some of our early readers too. Alongside this, children can access Times Tables Rock Stars to help them with their skill and fluency in multiplication and division facts.

If anyone can't access learning that is set online then we can provide paper copies of learning for anyone who needs it. You can also sign out one of our Ipads or laptops if you do not have a device at home for children to access the platform.

Below there is more information about our remote learning package and our remote learning policy. There is also a selection of other websites that you may find useful to further support your child if you so wish.  If you would like to discuss how we deliver our remote learning or have any problems accessing Google Classroom or any of the other apps then please just contact the school office.
